Brojanjem putnika određuje se njihov protok u prijevoznim sredstvima prema trasama linija, zatim linijama gdje se pojavljuje maksimalan protok, variranje protoka u vremenu te analiza kvalitete usluga. Postoje dva glavna načina za brojenje putnika: ručno i automatizirano. Automatizirano brojanje putnika je izvedeno na način da elektronički sustav koji je instaliran u vozilu broji putnike. Counting the number of passengers shall be determined by their flow in the transport routes to the line, then lines where the maximum flow rate variation in time appears and analysis of the quality of services.
