Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu se istražuje koncept pametnih gradova, koji predstavlja
inovativan pristup urbanom razvoju kroz primjenu naprednih tehnologija. Kroz rad će se
analizirati ključni aspekti pametnih gradova, uključujući korištenje interneta stvari (IoT), umjetne
inteligencije, velikih količina podataka (big data) i drugih digitalnih tehnologija za poboljšanje
kvalitete života građana, optimizaciju infrastrukture, povećanje energetske učinkovitosti te
održivi razvoj. Razmatraju se izazovi u provedbi pametnih gradova, poput zaštite privatnosti
podataka, kibernetičke sigurnosti te društvene uključenosti. Na kraju, rad donosi pregled
uspješnih primjera pametnih gradova diljem svijeta i daje preporuke za budući razvoj ovog
koncepta u kontekstu urbanog planiranja u regiji.

Abstract (english)

This graduate thesis explores the concept of smart cities, which represents an innovative
approach to urban development through the application of advanced technologies. The paper
analyzes key aspects of smart cities, including the use of the internet of Things (IoT), artificial
intelligence, big data, and other digital technologies to improve the quality of life for citizens,
optimize infrastructure, increase energy efficiency, and promote sustainable development. It also
examines the challenges in implementing smart cities, such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and
social inclusion. Finally, the thesis provides an overview of successful smart city examples
worldwide and offers recommendations for the future development of this concept in the
context of regional urban planning.
