Abstract

Velika Gorica, kao brzo rastući grad, suočava se s izazovima vezanim uz prometnu zagušenost, onečišćenje zraka i stvaranje održive i sigurne okoline za svoje stanovnike. Stoga je od krucijalne važnosti istražiti ulogu nemotoriziranog prometa kao potencijalnog rješenja za navedene izazove. Nemotorizirani oblik prometa je ekološki prihvatljiv, zdrav i povoljan način prijevoza koji također pridonosi smanjenu prometnih zagušenja, a također može pomoći u očuvanju kulturne baštine grada. Stoga, analiza nemotoriziranog oblika prometovanja u gradu Velikoj Gorici obuhvaća analizu prostorno planske dokumentacije, procjenu postojećeg stanja infrastrukture, analizu navika i preferencija korisnika, analizu sigurnosti biciklista i pješaka, te utjecaja urbanističkih karakteristika na korištenje nemotoriziranog oblika prometovanja.

Abstract (english)

Velika Gorica, as a rapidly growing city, is facing challenges related to traffic congestion, air pollution, and the creation of a sustainable and safe environment for its residents. Therefore, it is crucial to explore the role of non-motorized transportation as a potential solution to these challenges. Non-motorized transportation is an environmentally friendly, healthy, and cost-effective mode of transportation that also contributes to reducing traffic congestion and can help preserve the city's cultural heritage. Therefore, the analysis of non-motorized transportation in the city of Velika Gorica includes an examination of spatial planning documentation, an assessment of the current state of infrastructure, an analysis of user habits and preferences, an evaluation of cyclist and pedestrian safety, and an examination of the impact of urban characteristics on the use of non-motorized transportation.
