Abstract

U prvoj polovici rada opisani su povijest i razvoj kontejnerizacije te njene prednosti i nedostatci, kontejneri kao osnovne transportne jedinice te kontejnerski brodovi prema vrstama tehnologije prijevoza i prema generacijama. U nastavku su navedene i opisane osnovne značajke i procesi lučkih kontejnerskih terminala te sva prijevozno-prekrcajna sredstva potrebna za efikasno odvijanje kontejnerskog prometa. Nadalje, opisana je važnost primjene informacijsko-komunikacijskih tehnologija na kontejnerskim terminalima, te su navedene postojeće. U drugoj polovici rada provedene su analize tehničko-tehnoloških značajki kontejnerskih terminala luke Rijeka i luke Koper, nakon čega je provedena i komparativna analiza kojom su utvrđene razlike tehničko-tehnoloških značajki istih kontejnerskih terminala.

Abstract (english)

History and development of containerization are described in the first half of the master degree thesis, as well as its advantages and disadvantages, containers as primary transport units and container ships classified according to technology of transport and generations. Basic features and processes of port container terminals are described below, as well as all the transport and load-over means used for an efficient operation of container traffic. Furthermore, the thesis lists existing IT and communication technologies at container terminals together with their application. The second half of the thesis analyses technical and technological features of Rijeka port and Koper port container terminals, respectively, followed by a comparative analyses determining differences between technical and technological features of the same container terminals.
