Abstract
Kroz rad je analizirana primjena alternativnih goriva kod Otto motora. Objašnjeni su kriteriji za potencijalnu uporabu alternativnih goriva u cestovnom prometu. Navedene su i objašnjene ekološke prednosti i nedostaci bioplina i bioetanola. U svrhu smanjenja negativnih ekoloških utjecaja Otto motora razrađene su primjene biogoriva, vodika, električnog i hibridnog pogona. Cilj primjene alternativnih goriva kod Otto motora je smanjiti emisije ispušnih plinova, smanjenje zagađenja okoliša, smanjenje utroška energije, što ujedno i rezultira ugodnijem životu ljudi. Primjenom tih alternativnih goriva kod Otto motora uspoređena je zakonska regulativa i direktiva Europske unije s regulativom Republike Hrvatske.

Through the work analyzes the use of alternative fuels for petrol engines. It explains the criteria for the potential use of alternative fuels in road transport. These are listed and explained the ecological advantages and disadvantages of biogas and bioethanol. In order to reduce the negative environmental impact of petrol engines developed as the use of biofuels, hydrogen, electric and hybrid drives. The application of alternative fuels in gasoline engines to reduce emissions, reduce pollution, reduce energy consumption, which also results in a more comfortable life of people. By using these alternative fuels in gasoline engines compared the legislation and EU directives with regulations of the Republic of Croatian.
