Abstract
Multipleksiranje u svjetlovodnoj tehnologiji povećava prijenosni kapacitet optičkog vlakna omogućuvajući kvalitativan i kvantitativan oblik prijenosa iskorištavanjem WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) elemenata multipleksiranja. Razlikujemo monomodna i multimodna vlakna različitih performansi. WDM kao osnovni model multipleksiranja povećava kapacitet svjetlovoda i uz primjenu optičkih pojačala, optičkih prijemnika i predajnika. Multipleksori i demultipleksori spajaju odnosno razdvajaju svjetlosne signale na različitim valnim duljinama u izvedbama prijenosnih mrežnih topologija. U pristupne mreže nove generacije ubrajamo Point-to-point topologiju, optičke mreže s komutacijom kanala i pasivne optičke mreže.

System of multiplexing in optical technology increases transmission capacity of physical media enableing qualitative and quantitative form of transfer by taking advantage of wdm (wavelength division multiplexing) elements. We distinguish single mode and multimode fibers containing different performance. WDM multiplexing as the base model increases the capacity of optical fiber also with the use of optical amplifiers, optical receivers and transmitters. Multiplexers and demultiplexers connect or separate light signals at different wavelengths in the version of portable network topologies. In the access network of the new generation we include point-to-point topology, optical switching network and passive optical networks.
