Abstract
U funkciji turizma podjednako važnu ulogu ima i individualni i javni prijevoz, prijevoz robe i putnika, prometna infrastruktura, a posebice međuovisnost različitih prometnih grana unutar prometnog sustava.

Tourism and transport, as strategic sectors of the Croatian economy, have the characteristics of dynamic, complex and interconnected systems. Both of these systems are imbued with the phenomenon of mobility that describes the need of modern man for travel. Individual and public transport, transport of goods and passengers, transport infrastructure, as well as interdependence of different transport sectors, play equally important role in the function of tourism. When tourists, during their journey, get off the motorway and arrive at local roads and their destination, all the negative impacts of road transportation such as poor organization, dimensioning of public transport capacity due to the extreme unevenness of traffic demand during the year and uncertainty of road transport, which is especially prominent with poor transport infrastructure, road traffic noise, etc. Trogir is not immune to these problems. This is precisely why the construction of the bridge east of Trogir, which would relieve the Old City, has been discussed for forty years. Finally, a solution has been found to save this valuable urban coastal area. Historical center of Trogir, which is under UNESCO protection, has been threatened by the impact of heavy freight traffic. The location of the new bridge will be between historical city of Trogir and natural reserve of Pantan. The opening of the bridge between land and the island of Ciovo is expected to significantly relieve Trogir of truck and car traffic and help prevent possible damage to valuable cultural heritage sites. There is no doubt that the majority of drivers will no longer have any need at all to go into Trogir. If these problems are solved, then Trogir can became what it always should have been – one of our most beautiful tourist destinations. Ultimately, however, the most important thing was to relieve the historic town center of heavy traffic with a new traffic solution, and that goal has been certainly reached.
