Abstract
Misije Obalne straže Republike Hrvatske izvršavaju se izdvajanjem resursa Hrvatske ratne mornarice i Hrvatskog ratnog zrakoplovstva. Među glavnim su zadaćama OS traganje, odnosno spašavanje unesrećenih osoba na moru i kopnu. Dio letova za potrebe Obalne straže obavlja postrojba Eskadrile aviona 93 ZB tzv. vizualnim pretraživanjem uz pomoć zrakoplova Pilatus PC-9M. Kako bi se misije OS RH adekvatno izvršavale, potrebno je zrakoplove opremiti višenamjenskim kamerama. Opremanje zrakoplova višenamjenskim kamerama složen je proces koji zahtijeva poznavanje karakteristika zrakoplova, zadaća OS, glavnih principa daljinskog istraživanja, vrsta višenamjenskih kamera te zakona aerodinamike. Cilj ugradnje kamera povećanje je učinkovitosti izvršavanja zadaća OS RH, a posljedica su određena ograničenja zrakoplova uzrokovana povećanjem otpora. Izbor optimalne kamere izvršen je na temelju komparacije mogućnosti različitih kamera, analiziran je utjecaj ugradnje kamera na povećanje otpora zrakoplova rezultat čega je povećanje potrošnje goriva. Adekvatno rješenje toga problema pronađeno je u opremanju podvjesnih točaka zrakoplova dodatnim spremnicima goriva.

The Croatian Coastguard operations are resourced by the Croatian Navy and the Croatian Airforce. The search and rescue of people in distress on both land and sea is among the main tasks of the Croatian Coastguard. A part of the flights for the Coastguard is carried out by the 93rd Air Base Squadron Unit using so-called visual search with the aid of the Pilatus PC-9M aircraft. In order to adequately perform the Coastguard's operations, the aircrafts need to be equipped with multi-purpose cameras. The equipping of an aircraft is a complex process that demands a good knowledge of its characteristics, the Coastguard’s assignments, remote sensing basic principles, multi-purpose camera types, and laws of aerodynamics. The aim of installing cameras is to improve the Coastguard's task efficiency. As a consequence, it causes certain limitations in the work of the aircraft due to the resistance increase. The optimal camera choice has been based on comparing the features of different cameras. The influence of camera instalment on the aircraft's resistance increase has been analysed, the result being an increase in fuel consumption. The adequate solution to the problem has been found in attaching additional fuel tanks to hard points.
