Abstract

Sigurnost prometa na cestama značajna je za razvoj svakog društva, ali i za sam život čovjeka kao pojedinca. Ovim diplomskim radom napravljena je analiza prometnih nesreća sa sudjelovanjem teretnih vozila kategorije N2 i N3, na temelju dostupnih podataka o prometnim nesrećama Ministarstva unutarnjih poslova. Isto tako, u svrhu izrade ovog diplomskog rada provedeno je vlastito istraživanje autora među vozačima teretnih vozila, putem ankete. Istraživanjem se željelo saznati svjesnost vozača teretnih vozila o tome kako i koliko oni svojim radnjama i ponašanjem utječu na sigurnost u prometu. Na temelju dobivenih rezultata istraživanja identificirani su potencijalni rizici sigurnosti i dane su preporuke za poboljšanje sigurnosti cestovnog prometa. Neosporna je činjenica da vozači teretnih vozila moraju poštivati zakone kojima je reguliran njihov rad kako bi se povećala prometna sigurnost. Međutim vozači moraju biti svjesni svoje osobne odgovornosti kada svjesno svojim postupcima i radnjama utječu na sigurnost u prometu. Prometnu sigurnost neće biti moguće povećati i unaprijediti ukoliko zakonodavac, prijevozničke tvrtke i vozači teretnih vozila ne preuzmu odgovornost u svom djelokrugu i zajednički se ne usmjere na njeno rješavanje.

Abstract (english)

Road traffic safety is important for the development of every society, as well as for the life of a man as an individual. This thesis includes an analysis of traffic accidents involving cargo vehicles (commercial trucks) of N2 and N3 category, based on the available data on traffic accidents from the Ministry of the Interior. In addition, for the purpose of preparing this thesis, the author himself has carried out his own research among truck drivers, through a survey. The aim of the research was to find out the level of truck drivers’ awareness about how and to what extent they have an impact on the traffic safety through their actions and behaviour. Following the findings of the research, potential safety risks were identified and, accordingly, recommendations for improving the road traffic safety are given. It is an indisputable fact that cargo vehicle (commercial truck) drivers have to comply with the law and acts that regulate their work in order to increase the traffic safety. However, drivers themselves have to be aware of their personal responsibility and their own impact on the traffic safety by consciously taking actions and behaving when participating in traffic. The traffic safety can only be increased and improved if authorities, policy-makers, transport companies and cargo vehicle (commercial truck) drivers take their responsibility, each within their scope, and focus and cooperate on increasing and improving it jointly.
