Abstract

Ovaj završni rad prikazuje osnovne značajke LPWAN tehnologije za potrebe razvoja mreže Interneta stvari (Internet of Things, IoT). LPWAN tehnologija je bežična komunikacijska tehnologija s velikim dometom i malom potrošnjom električne energije. Nadalje, rad prikazuje osnovnu arhitekturu IoT koncepta koja je potom generalizirana na LPWAN mreže. Zaključno, usporedbom karakteristika i načina upotrebe vidljivo je da LPWAN tehnologija prikazuje znatno unaprjeđenje u odnosu na prijašnje tehnologije što se reflektira i na brojne scenarije korištenja.

Abstract (english)

This bachelor thesis shows main features of LPWAN technology necessary for Internet of Things (IoT) development. LPWAN is a long-range wireless communication technology characterized by low energy consumption. Additionally, thesis describes basic architecture of IoT concept which is later generalized to LPWAN networks. By comparing LPWAN characteristics and applications it is evident that LPWAN represents a big step forward in comparison with similar technologies which reflects on wide range of use-case scenarios, as well.
