Abstract

Republika Hrvatska se nalazi na veoma dobrom geoprometnom položaju jer je s europskim prometnim tokovima povezana s jedne strane preko rijeke Dunav te preko morskih luka Rijeka i Ploče s druge strane. Na osnovu tih činjenica može se zaključiti kako RH ima povoljne uvjete za razvoj intermodalnog transportnog sustava. Trenutačno stanje željezničke mreže nije baš najbolje. Razlog tomu su velika oštećenja nastala tijekom domovinskog rata, ali i nedostatak kvalitetne strategije razvoja željezničkog sustava. Potrebno je uložiti velike napore kako bi se dostigla razina na kojoj su zapadnoeuropske zemlje, a kroz različite dokumente i strateške projekte nastoji se povećati kvaliteta intermodalnih sustava u Republici Hrvatskoj. Da bi se sve to ostvarilo potrebno je osigurati financijska sredstva, a prvi korak na tome putu mogu biti europski fondovi za razvoj prometnih sustava.

Abstract (english)

The Republic of Croatia is situated in a very good position, since because it is with European traffic flows associated with one hand over the Danube River and across the sea ports of Rijeka and Ploče on the other side. On the basis of these facts, it can be concluded that Croatia has favourable conditions for the development of intermodal transport system. The current state of the rail network is not exactly the best. The reason for this are the great damage caused during the Croatian war of independence, but also the lack of quality of the strategy of development of the rail system. It is necessary to invest great efforts in order to reach the level at which the Western European countries, and through a variety of documents and strategic projects seeks to increase the quality of the intermodal system in the Republic of Croatia. To make it all happen, it is necessary to provide the financial means, and the first step on this journey can be European funds for the development of transport systems.
