Abstract

Stradavanje u prometu i prometnim nesrećama, su jedan od glavnih uzroka smrti na globalnoj razini. Osnovni indikatori za sigurnost na prometnoj mreži su broj prometnih nesreća i njihove posljedice. Na cestovnoj mreži, prometne nesreće nisu ravnomjerno raspoređene, postoje određena mjesta gdje je koncentracija prometnih nesreća veća nego na ostalim dijelovima dionice ili promatranog područja. Ta mjesta zovu se opasna mjesta ili crne točke i u pravilu su to raskrižja. Prema dosadašnjim iskustvima jedan od najučinkovitijih načina poboljšanja sigurnosti na cestama su identifikacija opasnih mjesta i njihova sanacija. U ovom radu će se za područje Velike Gorice i njezinih okolnih naselja koristiti podaci o prometnim nesrećama iz 2016. 2017. i 2018. godine koji su preuzeti iz nacionalnih baza podataka Ministarstva unutarnjih poslova. Prikupljeni podaci provest će se kroz statističku analizu uz pomoć Microsoft Office – Excel-a, te će se koristeći GIS alate (QGIS – Quantum Geographic Information System) izvršiti pozicioniranje i vizualizacija opasnih mjesta na georeferenciranim kartama. Rezultati provedenog istraživanja se mogu upotrijebiti za uočavanje opasnih mjesta, sanaciju opasnih mjesta na postojećoj infrastrukturi i izbjegavanja ponavljanja grešaka koje su dovele do opasnih mjesta u budućnosti prilikom projektiranja i izgradnje samih prometnica i raskrižja. Samim time će se smanjiti broj prometnih nesreća što će imat za posljedicu povećanje sigurnosti na prometnicama.

Abstract (english)

Traffic accidents and traffic injuries are the leading cause of death across the globe. The basic indicators of safety on the traffic network are number of traffic accidents and their consequences. On the road network, traffic accidents are not evenly distributed. Moreover, there are certain places where the concentration of traffic accidents is higher comparing to the other parts of the road sections or the observed area. These places are known as dangerous places or black spots, and generally that implies to intersections. According to the previous experience, one of the most effective ways to improve the road safety is the identification of dangerous places and their remediation. Therefore, this thesis evaluates the data of traffic accidents from 2016 to 2018 for the city of Velika Gorica and its surrounding villages. The data is taken from the national databases of Ministry of the Interior, and it is processed through statistical analysis by using Microsoft Office - Excel tool and GIS tools (QGIS – Quantum Geographic Information System) which locate and visualize dangerous places on the georeferenced maps. The result of research can be used to identify dangerous spots, to remediate dangerous places on existing infrastructure, and to avoid reiteration of errors that led to dangerous places. In the long term this research will benefit the future design and construction of roads and intersections. This will reduce the number of traffic accidents, which will result in increased road safety.
