Abstract

Početak korištenja intermodalnog transporta vezan je uz nedostatke korištenja cestovnog, željezničkog i zračnog prijevoza. Intermodalni transport je tehnologija kojom se u prijevozu robe istovremeno koriste dva suvremena i odgovarajuća prijevozna sredstva različitih prometnih grana, pri čemu jedno prijevozno sredstvo zajedno sa svojim teretom postaje teret drugog prijevoznog sredstva. U intermodalnom transportu koristi se pet veza za transport, a to su izravna veza, koridor, fiksna, fleksibilna i hub and spoke veza. Ovaj rad usmjeren je na hub and spoke koncept. Hub and spoke koncept je takva veza kod koje je jedan terminal izabran kao središnji te svi transporti prolaze kroz njega i onda kada su pošiljatelj i primatelj blizu jedan drugome i kada su udaljeni od središnjeg terminala. U odnosu na ostale, hub and spoke koncept ima veći koeficijent obrtaja, manji broj veza za povezivanje istog broja odredišta, mogućnost viših putnih frekvencija između čvorova, te mnoge druge prednosti i karakteristike koje će biti prikazane u radu.

Abstract (english)

The introduction of intermodal transport is linked to the disadvantages of using road, rail and air transport. Intermodal transport is a technology that uses two modern and appropriate means of transport in different modes of transport at the same time, where one means of transport, together with its cargo, becomes the burden of another means of transport. In intermodal transport, five transport links are used direct link, corridor, fixed, flexible and hub and spoke link. This document focuses on the hub and spoke concept. The Hub and spoke concept is system where one terminal is selected as the center and all transports pass through it both when the sender and recipient are close to each other and away from the central terminal. Compared to the others, the hub and spoke concept has a higher inventory turnover, fewer links to connect to the same number of destinations, the possibility of higher travel frequencies between nodes, and many other benefits and features that will be shown in the document.
