Abstract

U posljednjih 20 godina izgradnja kružnih raskrižja u Republici Hrvatskoj, ali i u ostatku Europe, je sve intenzivnija. Glavni razlog tome su prednosti koje kružna raskrižja pružaju u odnosu na ostala klasična raskrižja. U ovom završnom radu govori se o osnovnim karakteristikama kružnih raskrižja. Navedeni su oblikovni elementi koji su ključni za izgradnju kružnih raskrižja te za ostvarivanje sigurnog kretanja svih sudionika u prometu. Glavna značajka kružnih raskrižja je smanjenje broja konfliktnih točaka koja ima za posljedicu povećanja sigurnosti te propusne moći prometnice što je glavna prednost primjene kružnih raskrižja. Na kraju je predložena rekonstrukcija klasičnog četverokrakog semaforiziranog raskrižja Zagrebačka – Nikole Kramarića – Industrijska u naselju Velika Mlaka.

Abstract (english)

The construction of roundabouts in the Republic of Croatia and in the rest of Europe has become increasingly intense in the last 20 years. The main reasons for this are the benefits that roundabouts offer over classic intersections. This final paper discusses the basic characteristics of roundabouts. The crucial design elements for the construction of the roundabouts and for the safe movement of all road users are outlined. The main feature of roundabouts is the reduction of the number of intersection points, which results in an increase in the safety and road capacity, which is the main advantage of the use of the roundabouts. In the end was proposed the reconstruction of the classic four-way traffic light intersection Zagrebačka – Nikole Kramarića – Industrijska in Velika Mlaka.
