Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
Baggage flows have their starting point at check in counter of departure airport and ending point at the arriving airport baggage claim area. Baggage irregularities may occur at every point of baggage flow and they most frequently occur on international hub airports with high concentration of transfer passenger and baggage flows. Therefore, the highest precentage of baggage irregularities happens on transfer flights. When irregularity occurs, passenger goes in lost and found office to report irregularity to World Tracer program. On-time baggage delivery has significant influence to customer's level of satisfaction and perception of the airport service quality. In points of passenger and baggage flows are implemented new tehnologies to reduce baggage irregularities and to reduce delays and congestion of the baggage flows.
