Abstract
U radu je napravljena analiza tehnoloških promjena kroz generacije mobilnih mreža. Prva generacija mobilne mreže (1G) puštena je u promet od strane NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone) Japanskog operatora u Japanu 1979. godine. NMT (Nordic Mobile Telephone) mobilna mreža je bila analogna i namijenjena isključivo govornoj komunikaciji. Međutim, s drugom generacijom (2G) započinje nagli razvoj mreže, tehnologije i mobilnih uređaja s obzirom na to da druga generacija koristi digitalnu radio transmisiju koja rezultira boljom kvalitetom usluga kod slabog signala i velikih smetnji. Mreža treće generacije (3G) donosi veće brzine prijenosa podataka i pristupa Internetu. Isto tako ističe upotrebu paketnog moda za prijenos podataka, u odnosu na prvu i drugu generacije mobilnih mreža koje su namijenjene prvenstveno za prijenos govora komutiranim kanalom. Nadalje, u radu je napravljena analiza pokrivenosti signalom u RH. Mnogobrojni telekomunikacijski operatori u RH pružaju korisnicima različite usluge, a trenutno su vodeći HT i Vipnet.

Parallel abstract (English)
In this thesis an analysis of technological changes through different generations of mobile networks is performed. First generation of mobile network (1G) was released by NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone), the Japanese operator, in 1979. NMT (Nordic Mobile Telephone) mobile network was analog and designed exclusively for voice communication. With the second generation of mobile network (2G) the rapid development of network technology begins as well as mobile devices, due to the fact that the second generation uses digital radio transmission, which results in better services quality at low signal levels and interference. Third generation network (3G) brings higher speed transmission and Internet access. It also highlights the use of redirecting packet data, in comparison to the first and second generation mobile networks that are designed primarily for voice transmission, i.e. circuit switched transmissions. Furthermore, the thesis presents the results of the analysis of the signal coverage in the Republic of Croatia. Many telecommunications operators in Croatia offer users a variety of services, but HT and Vipnet are currently the leaders.
