Abstract
Obzirom da su najveće pomorske luke na europskim i svjetskim relacijama glavno čvorište u povezivanju svih prometnih grana u transportu tereta, time intenzitet i struktura robnih tokova predstavljaju jedne od osnovnih pokazatelja poslovanja luka točnije konkurentnosti prometnih pravaca na tržištu prometnih usluga. Luka Rijeka najveća je pomorska luka Republike Hrvatske s odgovarajućim brojem terminala namijenjenim za manipuliranje različitim vrstama tereta, dok je Luka Gdansk najveća i najstarija luka Republike Poljske koja predstavlja međunarodno prijevozno središte u središnjem dijelu južne obale Baltik. Upravo iz tog razloga proizlazi činjenica kako je neophodno glavne morske luke osuvremeniti infrastrukturom i suprastrukturom te sukladno cilju Europske Unije povezati ih u jedinstvenu transeuropsku prometnu mrežu kojom se omogućuje uklanjanje uskih grla te povezivanje udaljenijih regija u zajednički sustav prometnica.

Parallel abstract (English)
Considering that the largest seaports in the european and international relations represent major hub connecting all transport modes in the transport of goods, thus the intensity and structure of cargo flows represent one of the main indicators of competitivness of the port more accurate traffic routes in the market of transport services. The port of Rijeka is the biggest Croatian seaport with a corresponding number of terminal intended to handle the different types of cargo, while the Port of Gdansk represents the largest and the oldest Poland port which represents international transportation hub in the central part of the southern coast of the Baltic Sea. For this reason stems the fact that it is necessary to modernize the main sea port infrastructure and superstructure and in accordance with the aim of the European Union to connect them into a trans-european transport network, which allows to remove bottlenecks and connecting distant regions in the common system of roads.
