Abstract

Cilj rada je opisati evoluciju digitalne telefonije i arhitekture VoIP mreže, navesti i
objasniti rad osnovnih VoIP protokola, te detaljno analizirati signalizaciju i uspostavu
poziva u mrežama za prijenos govora IP protokolom. VoIP predstavlja skupinu
komunikacijskih protokola i prijenosnih tehnika s svrhom prijenosa glasa i
multimedijskog sadržaja putem mreža baziranih na IP protokolu. Nakon uspostave
veze glas se iz analognog pretvara u digitalni oblik. Uzorci se enkapsuliraju u pakete
te se zadržavaju međuspremniku gdje se pripremaju za slanje IP mrežom. Na
prijamnoj strani proces je obrnut.

Abstract (english)

The purpose of this paper is to describe the evolution of digatal telecomunications
and VoIP network architecture, to list and explain how basic VoIP protocols work and
to analize signalization and call setup in networks based on IP protocols. VoIP
represents a group of communication protocols and transmission techniques for
voice an multimedia transfer over networks based on IP protocols. After establishing
a connection the voice is converted from analog to digital data. Samples are
encapsulated into packages and moved to a buffer where they are prepared to be
sent through an IP network. On the receiving end the process is reversed.
