Abstract
Aerodinamička sila koja se suprotstavlja kretanju zrakoplova kroz zrak u svim fazama njegova leta naziva se silom otpora. Komponente od kojih se sastoji ukupna sila otpora su inducirani i parazitni otpor. Ukupni parazitni otpor čini zbroj svih njegovih komponenti; otpora oblika, trenja, interferencije te otpor stlačivosti koji se stvara pri velikim brzinama. Svaka od komponenti ima značajan utjecaj na let zrakoplova te ovisi o bitnim veličinama poput Machovog broja i koeficijenta uzgona. Polara otpora razlikuje se za određene vrste zrakoplova te ovisno o tome imaju li oni čistu konfiguraciju ili ne. Utjecaj otpora nastoji se smanjiti pomoću određenih metoda koje bi učinile let sigurnijim i učinkovitijim.

Parallel abstract (English)
The aerodynamic force which opposes the movement of an aircraft trough air in all segments of its flight is called drag force. The components of the total drag force are induced and parasite drag. The sum of the total parasite drag is made of all of its components; form, friction, interference and wave drag which forms at high speeds. Every one of the components has significant influence on aircraft flight and depends on important dimensions such as Mach number and lift coefficient. The drag polaris varies for certain aircraft types and depending on whether they have a clean configuration or not. The drag influence tends to be reduced by certain methods that would make the flight more safer and effective.
