Abstract

Uključivanje prvih automobila u promet dovelo je do potrebe za spašavanjem ljudskih
života, osoba koje su uključene u prometne nesreće. Tu se ključnim pokazala brzina
dolaska hitnih službi u što kraćem vremenu.
U ovome radu analizira se princip rada ePoziv sustava, njegova arhitektura,
učinkovitost te mogućnosti proširenja sustava prikupljanjem većeg broja podataka o
nastaloj prometnoj nesreći.
Sustav ePoziva revolucionarno je rješenje koje omogućava obavještavanje hitnih
službi o nastaloj nesreći, u stvarnom vremenu. Tri osnovne cjeline bitne za funkcioniranje
ovoga sustava: vozilo s ugrađenom opremom za prikupljanje podataka i komunikacijskim
sučeljem, telekomunikacijska struktura s naglaskom na mobilne mreže te pozivni centar
112 koji zaprima ePozive. Europska komisija podržava uvođenje ePoziva na razini cijele
Europe, i šire, potiče reguliranje sustava preporukama, direktivama i potiče razvoj normi
vezanih uz to.
Mnoge su strane uključene i zainteresirane za ovaj projekt, jer konačni cilj je
spašavanje ljudskih života i smanjenje troškova koji nastaju direktno ili indirektno nakon
prometne nesreće.
ePoziv se pokazao korisnim, tisuće života se spasi na godišnjoj razini. Učinkovitost
ePoziv sustava pokazala se toliko dobrom, da se nastavljaju ulaganja u proširenje
njegove funkcionalnosti. Glavni oslonac u tome je razvoj novih tehnologija, koje
omogućavaju prikupljanje novih podataka i prijenos istih do centra 112 u stvarnom
vremenu, u vrlo kratkom vremenskom intervalu.

Abstract (english)

With the inclusion of the first cars in traffic, there was a need to save human lives,
people involved in traffic accidents. The response time of emergency services in the
shortest possible time proved to be crucial.
This paper analyses the principles of operation of the eCall system, its architecture,
efficiency, and the possibilities of expanding the system by collecting a large amount of
data on a traffic accident.
The eCall system is a revolutionary solution that allows emergency services to be
notified of an accident in real time. Three basic subsystems are important for the
functioning of this system: a vehicle with built-in equipment for data collection and a with
communication interface, a telecommunications structure with an emphasis on mobile
networks, and a call centre 112 that receives eCalls. The European Commission supports
the introduction of eCall at the level of the whole of Europe and beyond, encourages the
regulation of the system by recommendations, directives and encourages the
development of standards related to it.
Many parties are involved and interested in this project, because the final target is
saving human lives and reducing the costs that arise directly or indirectly after a traffic
accident.
The eCall has proven to be useful, thousands of lives are saved on an annual basis.
The efficiency of the eCall system has proven to be so good that investments in expanding
its functionality continue. The main pillar in this is the development of new technologies,
which enable the collection of new data and the transmission of it to the 112 centre in real
time, in a very short time interval.
