Abstract

U zadnjih 10 godina zbog sve većih prometnih zagušenja, klimatskih promjena i sigurnosti javlja se potreba za održivim planiranjem prometa u gradovima. Kao jednu od ključnih uloga u takvom planiranju ima i biciklistički promet zbog svojih ekonomskih, ekoloških i zdravstvenih koristi. U diplomskom radu opisani su primjeri dobre prakse u europskim prijestolnicama biciklističkog prometa na temelju kojih su dane smjernice poboljšanja biciklističkog prometa u Zagrebu nakon izvršene analize prometa. Na temelju prikupljenih podataka i napravljene komparativne analize, između vodećih biciklističkih gradova i Zagreba, slijedi zaključak da biciklistički promet u planiranju održive mobilnosti ima stratešku ulogu kojom ispunjuje njegove dugoročne ciljeve i time omogućuje veću kvalitetu življenja, ekološke i zdravstvene koristi te poboljšanu mobilnost i pristupačnost.

Abstract (english)

In the last 10 years, due to increasing traffic congestion, climate change and safety, there is a need for sustainable urban mobility planning. One of the key roles in such planning is played by bicycle traffic due to its economic, environmental and health benefits. The thesis describes examples of best practice in European capitals of bicycle traffic, on the basis of which guidelines are given for the improvement of bicycle traffic in Zagreb after the traffic analysis. Based on the collected data and comparative analysis, between the leading cycling cities and Zagreb, it follows that cycling in the planning of sustainable mobility has a strategic role in meeting its long-term goals and thus provides better quality of life, environmental and health benefits and improved mobility and accessibility.
