Abstract

U radu su navedena povijesna i geografska obilježja te sam nastanak autoceste Rijeka – Zagreb počevši od glavnih povijesnih makadamskih cesta Karoline, Jozefine i Lujzijane pa sve do danas. Najveći značaj izgradnje ove autoceste je upravo u podizanju razine prometne usluge. Cilj u ovom završnom radu je analizirati mrežu prometne infrastrukture Gorskog kotara Hrvatske i njen značaj u odnosu na europske prometne koridore. Isto tako prikazani su pravci razvoja povezivanja kontinentalne i jadranske Hrvatske, prometne karakteristike glavnih terminala Rijeke i Zagreba, te su navedene dugoročne i kratkoročne mjere sigurnosti u svrhu poboljšanja trase autoceste Rijeka – Zagreb.

Abstract (english)

The paper presents the historical and geographic features and the origin of the Rijeka – Zagreb highway, starting from the main historical macadam roads Karolina, Jozefina and Lujzijana until today. The greatest importance of the construction of this highway is precisely in raising the level of traffic service. The aim of this final paper is to analyze the network of transport infrastructure of Gorski kotar in Croatia and its importance in relation to European transport corridors. The directions of development of connecting continental and Adriatic Croatia traffic characteristics of the main terminals of Rijeka and Zagreb are also presented, and long – term and short – term safety measures for the purpose of improving the route of the Rijeka – Zagreb highway are stated.
