Abstract

Prema stupnju stradanja biciklisti pripadaju jednoj od najugroženijih skupina sudionika u prometu, a uzrok tome je smanjena sigurnost biciklističkog prometa. Poduzimanjem preventivnih mjera i pravilnom izvedbom biciklističke infrastrukture mogao bi se umanjiti rizik od nastanka prometnih nezgoda. Osim toga, povećanju sigurnosti doprinijele bi edukacije upravljanja biciklom u prometu već od najranijeg stupnja obrazovanja. Tako bi se podigla svijest o važnosti kulture uporabe bicikla, koja uveliko utječe na sigurnost sudionika u prometu. U radu je analizirano trenutno stanje sigurnosti biciklista i biciklističke infrastrukture na području grada Ludbrega te su prema tome predložene mjere za poboljšanje sigurnosti.

Abstract (english)

According to the level of casualties, cyclists belong to one of the most vunerable groups of traffic participants and the main cause of that is the reduced safety of bicycle traffic. By taking preventive measures and properly implementing the cycling infrastructure, the risk of traffic accidents could be reduced. Providing bicycle safety education to children would also lead to increasing the traffic safety. That would raise awareness of the importance of the bicycle use, which greatly affects the safety of traffic participants. In this essay was analyzed the current state of cyclists safety as well as the cycling infrastrukture of the town of Ludbreg. According to that, certain measures on how to improve traffic safety were thereby proposed.
