Prva generacija mobilne mreže (1G) je puštena u promet od strane Japanskog operatera 1979 godine. Mreža je bila analogna i omogućavala je isključivo glasovne usluge. Međutim, sa drugom generacijom mobilne mreže (2G, GSM), koja je bila digitalna, počinje i nagli razvoj mreže, tehnologije, i mobilnih uređaja. Abstract (english)

The goal of present paper is to provide an overview of mobile network architectures through diverse technological generations. First generation of mobile network (1G) was released by the Japanese operator in 1979; it was analog network and allowed only voice services. Second generation of mobile network (2G, GSM) was digital and characterized by a rapid development of technology, network components, and cell phones.
