Sigurnost korisnika u cestovnoj prometnoj mreži, jedan je od osnovnih zahtjeva prometnog sustava, a osnovni pokazatelj stanja sigurnosti u cestovnoj prometnoj mreži je broj prometnih nesreća te njihove posljedice. Budući da se autoceste smatraju najsigurnijim javnim cestama s obzirom na mnoge prometno-tehničke parametre, potrebno je podrobnije istražiti stanje sigurnosti na državnim cestama u Republici Hrvatskoj, pogotovo uzevši u obzir da većina dionica državnih cesta ima veće prometno... Abstract (english)

Traffic safety is one of the key demands in the traffic system, and main indicator of safety conditions in traffic is amount of car accidents and their repercussions. Taking in the mind that highways are considered as the safest among all roads in the view of many traffic and technical parameters, it is necessary to closely investigate road traffic safety of state roads in the Republic of Croatia, especially when considered that many of state roads are more loaded with vehicles than... More highways. Data about high amount of traffic accidents on some road is not enough for identifying that road like the hazardous one, so in the paper hazardous roads are identified and classified considering their traffic and technical parameters, such as road length, amount of vehicles on the road and amount of traffic accidents on the road. According to that, it is possible to detect some “hidden” hazardous state roads, or it is possible to detect hazardous roads which have never been in the primary focus of road traffic safety investigation.
