S obzirom da je prometna potražnja već dosegnula visoku razinu, neprestano se istražuju nove strategije i rješenja kako bi se poboljšali prometni uvjeti i kvaliteta prometne mreže. Jedan od ključnih pristupa za unapređenje prometnog sustava su Inteligentni transportni sustavi (ITS) koji se temelje na informacijskim i komunikacijskim tehnologijama (ICT) za upravljanje i kontrolu prometa te općenito nadogradnju klasičnog prometnog sustava. Abstract (english)

Considering that traffic demand has already reached a high level, new strategies and solutions are constantly being explored to improve traffic conditions and quality of the traffic network. One of the key approaches to enhancing the transportation system is Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), which rely on information and communication technologies (ICT) for traffic management and control and generally upgrading the classic transport system. More technologies enables intercommunication between vehicles and infrastructure, as well as vehicle-to-vehicle communication, thus creating cooperative systems. This integration opens the door for further improvement of variable speed limit system standards, incorporating cooperative features. The central goal of the research is to analyze the benefits of integrating infrastructure into vehicle communication and autonomous control of the existing industrial environment system.
