Abstract

Promet ima velik utjecaj na društveni život zajednice i gospodarstvo u cjelini. Međutim, razvoj prometa osim pozitivnog učinka, ima i niz negativnih učinaka u vidu gubitka života, nanošenja tjelesnih ozljeda ili izazivanja materijalne štete. Prometna nesreća je događaj na cesti koji je nastao zbog nepoštivanja prometnih pravila. Kako bi se povećala sigurnost cestovnog prometa potrebno je identificirati i sanirati opasna mjesta. Identifikacija opasnih mjesta provedena je na temelju podataka o prometnim nesrećama na području grada Varaždina, koje je prikupilo Ministarstvo unutarnjih poslova Republike Hrvatske. U radu je provedena analiza stanje sigurnosti cestovnog prometa na području grada Varaždina, te su predložene mjere za povećanje sigurnosti cestovnog prometa.

Abstract (english)

Transport has a great impact on the social life of the community and the economy as a whole. However, the development of traffic, in addition to the positive effect, also has a number of negative effects in the form of loss of life, infliction of bodily injuries or causing material damage. A traffic accident is an event on the road that occurred due to non-compliance with traffic rules. In order to increase road safety, it is necessary to identify and rehabilitate dangerous places. The identification of dangerous places was carried out on the basis of data on traffic accidents in the city of Varaždin, collected by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia. This thesis analyzes the state of road safety in the city of Varaždin, and proposes measures to increase road safety.
