Abstract

Cestovni promet uvelike utječe na klimatske promjene, što se očituje u emitiranju emisija ispušnih plinova. Glavni zagađivač okoliša je već spomenuti cestovni promet te za razliku od željezničkog i zračnog prometa ima veće negativne utjecaje na okoliš i zdravlje ljudi. Zbog tih negativnih utjecaja istražuju se načini smanjenja količine ispušnih plinova i izvode se zakonske regulative glede emisije ispušnih plinova u zraku. U završnom radu opisana su cestovna motorna vozila kao izvori onečišćenja zraka, štetni i neštetni produkti izgaranja i njihov utjecaj na zdravlje i okoliš. U nastavku rada su opisani utjecaji stakleničkih plinova na cestovni promet, utjecaj ugljičnog dioksida na klimatske promjene, strategija niskougljičnog razvoja u EU i RH te zakonske regulativa glede emisije CO₂. U daljnjem radu opisane su mjere smanjenja emisija plinova koje se opisuju primjenom razvoja motora s manjom potrošnjom goriva, eko vožnjom, smanjenjem težine vozila i primjenom alternativnih goriva. Abstract (english)

Road transport has a major impact on climate change, which is evident in the emission of gases. The main polluter is the aforementioned road transport and has greater negative impacts on the environment and human health in comparison with rail and air transport. Due to these negative impacts, the ways of reducing exhaust gases are being investigated and legal regulations regarding the emission of exhaust gases into the air are being drafted. This thesis describes road motor vehicles as sources of air pollution, harmful and harmless combustion products and their impact on health and the environment. In addition, the thesis describes the impacts of greenhouse gases on road transport, the impact of carbon dioxide on climate change, the strategy of low-emissions development in the EU and the Republic of Croatia, and CO₂ emissions legislation. Finally, measures for reduction of gas emissions such as the usage of suitable engines with lower fuel consumption, environmentally-friendly driving, reduced vehicle mass and the use of alternative fuels are described and analyzed.
