Prijevozne tarife su od velikog značaja za prijevoz ljudi i tereta jer omogućavaju prijevoznicima da naplate pružanje svojih usluga korisnicima. Od svojih početaka pa sve do danas, tarife su se proširile na svim prometnim granama. Prilikom određivanja prijevoznih tarifa, u ovom slučaju pomorskih tarifa, treba uzeti u obzir mnogobrojne čimbenike, pravila, uvjete i načela pojedinih vrsta plovidbe. Transport tariffs are of great importance for the transport of people and freight because they allow carriers to charge the provision of their services to users. From its beginnings to the present day, tariffs have expanded on all types of traffic.
