Abstract

Simulacija je proces imitiranja stvarnog sustava te kao takva ima veliku i bitnu ulogu u planiranju novih sustava, ali i nadogradnji postojećih sustava. Kako su računalne mreže velik i kompleksan sustav, mrežni simulatori uvelike olakšavaju proces stvaranja i optimiziranja računalnih mreža. U ovom završnom radu analizirani su simulatori CORE, GNS3 te ns-3. U teorijskom dijelu objašnjene su osnove o bežičnim računalnim mrežama te najkorišteniji standardi. Također su opisane uloge simulatora i ukratko opisana četiri simulatora koji nisu uvršteni u detaljniju analizu. U praktičnom dijelu rada detaljnije su analizirana navedena tri simulatora kroz praktične primjere te je na kraju napravljena usporedba.

Abstract (english)

Simulation is a process of imitation of the actual system and as such has a major and important role in planning new systems, as well as upgrading the existing systems. As computer networks are a large and complex system, network simulators greatly facilitate the process of creating and optimizing computer networks. CORE, GNS3 and ns-3 were analyzed in this thesis. Theoretical part explains the basics of wireless computer networks and the most commonly used standards. Also described are the roles of the simulator and briefly described four simulators that are not included in the more detailed analysis. In the practical part of the work, the three simulators were analyzed in more detailed analysis through practical examples and compared in the end.
