Prometna vozila učestalo preopterećuju prometnice diljem svijeta te se stoga zahtjeva ulaganje u njihovo održavanje i infrastrukturu. Naplata cestarine pomoću lokacije korisnika omogućuje kombinaciju satelitskog određivanja položaja i tehnologiju mobilne mreže. Ovakav sustav ne ometa odvijanje prometa tijekom naplate cestarine jer ne zahtijeva ograničavanje brzine kao niti zadržavanje vozila. Traffic vehicles tend to overload traffic connections around the world and therefore require investment in their maintenance and infrastructure. Combination of satellite positioning and mobile network technology allows toll collection using users' location.
