Abstract
Cilj završnog zadatka je analizirati glavne značajke svjetlovodnih prijenosnih sustava. Prije početka razmatranja navedenih značajki i karakteristika svjetlovoda, opisani su osnovni zakoni optike. Zakoni optike su temelji na kojima se bazira princip rada svjetlovoda. Shodno tome, utvrđivanje osnovnih zakona optike je neizostavan dio, bez kojeg se ne može početi opisivati tematika zadatka. Daljnjim razmatranjem detaljno su opisane glavne vrste, kao i osnovne konstruktivne značajke svjetlovoda. Posebno je skrenuta pozornost na karakteristike koje imaju veliki utjecaj na prijenosna svojstva svjetlovoda. Pojašnjeni su i načini mjerenja na komponentama svjetlovodnih prijenosnih sustava, kao i određivanje mjesta prekida i mjesta oštećenja. Na temelju izložene tematike, iznose se relevantni zaključci o svjetlovodnim prijenosnim sustavima.

The goal of the final task is to analyze the main features of optical transmission systems. Before the beginning of consideration of the above characteristics and the characteristics of the optical waveguide, are described the basic laws of optics. Laws of optics are foundations on which is based the principle of operation the optical waveguide. Therefore, the determination of the basic laws of optics is an indispensable part, without which are can not begin to describe the subject matter of the task. Further consideration were described in detail the main types, as well as the basic structural features of the optical waveguide. Especially drawn attention to the characteristics that have a mayor impact on the transmission propertis of the optical waveguide. Also there are explained ways of measuring the components of fiber optical transmission systems, as well as the determination of the break and the place of damage. Based on the exposed themes, sums up the relevant conclusion of the optical transmission system.
