Abstract

Triangulacija je matematička metoda koja omogućuje određivanje položaja nepoznate
točke u prostoru na temelju položaja najmanje dvije poznate točke i kutova pod kojima se te
točke vide iz nepoznate točke. U kontekstu lociranja odašiljača, nepoznata točka predstavlja
položaj odašiljača, a poznate točke su položaji prijamnika. Triangulacija funkcionira tako što se
stvori virtualni trokut između najmanje dvije poznate točke i nepoznate točke (odašiljača).
Mjerenjem kutova unutar tog trokuta, moguće je matematički izračunati točne koordinate
nepoznate točke. Među izvore odašiljanja ubrajaju se i radijski odnosno, FM odašiljači.
Poseban naglasak imaju talijanski radijski odašiljači koji se nalaze na vrhovima Apeninskog
poluotoka, a koji su zbog konfiguracije terena često uzrok velikog broja smetnji zemljama u
okruženju. Određivanje lokacije radijskih odašiljača metodom triangulacije omogućuje
uklanjanje smetnji, a ujedno ukazuje na važnost pažljivog planiranja mjerenja i korištenja
sofisticiranih algoritama za obradu podataka. Mjerenja i obrada rezultata moraju se izvoditi
pomoću mjernih sustava čije su karakteristike propisane sukladno preporukama Međunarodne
telekomunikacijske unije.

Abstract (english)

Triangulation is a mathematical method used to determine the position of an unknown
point in space based on the known positions of at least two other points and the angles at
which these known points are seen from the unknown point. In the context of locating
transmitters, the unknown point represents the position of the transmitter, and the known
points are the positions of the receivers. Triangulation works by creating a virtual triangle
between at least two known points and the unknown point (transmitter). By measuring the
angles within this triangle, it is possible to mathematically calculate the exact coordinates of
the unknown point. Radio transmitters, including FM transmitters, are examples of such
sources. Italian radio transmitters located at the peaks of the Apennine Peninsula are of
particular interest due to the terrain configuration, often causing significant interference to
surrounding countries. Locating radio transmitters using triangulation allows for the
elimination of interference and highlights the importance of careful measurement planning
and the use of sophisticated data processing algorithms. Measurements and data processing
must be performed using measurement systems whose characteristics are defined according
to the recommendations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
