Abstract

Globalizacija je proces koji se odvija preko granica nacionalnih država. Uzrokuje djelovanje svjetskog sustava i uspostavljanje, u svjetskim razmjerima, gospodarske, političke, kulturne, ekološke i informacijske djelatnosti i globalne međuzavisnosti društva. Iako ne postoji jedna jedinstvena definicija globalizacije, može se reći da je globalizacija skup prekograničnih procesa, pokrenutih nezapamćenim razvojem moderne tehnologije, koji je doveo do ubrzanja ekonomskih procesa. Intermodalni transport kao grana prometa omogućuje participiranje tehnološki, ekonomski i ekološki prihvatljivih načina prijevoza u svom najširem obliku. Globalizacijom tržišta do izražaja dolaze suvremene tehnologije prometa i njihova primjena u sveobuhvatnoj integraciji prometnog sustava. Sustav intermodalnog transporta pruža rezultate čijom se analizom mogu ostvariti rješenja uskih grla u intermodalnom transportu. Primjenom suvremenih tehnoloških rješenja u transportnom lancu moguće je podići razinu kvalitete prijevoza, omogućiti kvalitetne temelje za uspostavu održivog razvoja, učinkovitije provođenje mjera za zaštitu okoliša, uklanjanje postojećih problema, povećanje prijevoznih kapaciteta uz istovremeno smanjenje troškova po jedinici tereta.

Abstract (english)

Globalization is a process which places over the borders of countries. It causes operation of the world system and the establishment of economic, political, cultural and information activities and the global interdependence of society. Althoug there is no single definition of globalization, it can be said that globalization is a conference of cross-border processes, launched by the unprecedented development of modem technology, which led to the acceleration of the economic process. Intermodal transport as a branch of traffic allows participation of technologically, economically and environmentally friendly mode of transport in its broadest form. By market globalization come to the fore of modem traffic technology and their application in the comprehensive integration of the transport system. The system of intermodal transport provides results whos analysis can achieve solutions of bottlenecks in intermodal transport. Application of modem technology in the transport chain can increase the quality of transport, allow quality foundation for sustainable development, effective implementation of environmental measures, the removal of the existing problems, increasing transport capacity while reducing the cost per unit of cargo.
