Abstract

Zaustavni put motornog vozila jedna je od značajnijih veličina koje utječu na sigurnost cestovnog prometa. Na zaustavni put vozila utječu vozač, vozilo, cesta, promet na cesti i uvjeti koji prevladavaju u okolini. Brzina kretanja vozila jednaje od vrlo važnih veličina koja utječe na dužinu zaustavnog puta vozila. Utjecanjem na čimbenike koji imaju značajnu ulogu u ostvarenju što kraćeg zaustavnog puta vozila poput smanjenja brzine kretanja vozila, povećanjem koeficijenta trenja između pneumatika i kolničkog zastora, pravilnim održavanjem kolnika i kolničkog zastora, povećanjem tehničke ispravnosti vozila i pravovremenim informiranjem vozača o vremenskim prilikama i incidentnim čimbenicima na cesti znatno bi se povećala sigurnost cestovnog prometa. Abstract (english)

The stopping distance of the motor vehicle is one of the most significant variables that affect road safety.
