Abstract

Cestovni promet kao najkorišteniji oblik prijevoza ljudi i robe danas predstavlja temelj funkcioniranja društva. Kako nema svrhu sam za sebe, njegova uloga je da poveže ostale dijelove industrije i društva. Za učinkovit cestovni prometni sustav neophodna je razgranata i kvalitetna cestovna infrastruktura koja mora biti smisleno umrežena na razini države, a i regije u kojoj se nalazi. Prometnom politikom koju vodi Europska unija teži se umrežavanju cestovnih pravaca svih članica u jedan veliki sustav E- cesta. Hrvatska je ulaskom u EU postala dio tog sustava, i stoga, od tada usmjerava svoj razvoj u skladu s EU. Stjecanjem samostalnosti, Hrvatska nakon dugoročnog planiranja napokon kreće s intenzivnijom gradnjom autocesta kako bi bolje povezala svoj teritorij i prilagodila se uvjetima 21. stoljeća. Iako gradnja još nije gotova,rezultati već izgrađene mreže autocesta su očigledni, pogotovo u slučajevima kada autocesta prolazi kroz nerazvijene krajeve zemlje.

Abstract (english)

Road transport as the most used form of transport of people and goods today is the foundation of the functioning of society. Since it has no purpose for itself, its role is to connect other parts of industry and society. For an efficient road transport system it is necessary to have a well developed and high quality road infrastructure that must be reasonably networked at state level a and the region in which it is located. The European Union's traffic policy is geared towards networking the roadways of all Member States into one large E-road system. By joining the EU, Croatia has become a part of this system and since then has been directing its development towards EU. By acquiring independence, after long-term planning, it finally moves with a more intensive construction of the highway to better connect its territory and adapt to the conditions of the 21st century. Although construction is not yet completed, the results of the already built highway network are obvious, especially in cases where the motorway runs through the undeveloped parts of the country.
