Abstract

Bluetooth tehnologija je jedna od bežičnih komunikacijskih tehnologija, i može se reći da je standard za takve tehnologije. Glavna prednost je u tome što za prijenos nisu potrebni kabeli već se kao prijenosi medij koriste radiovalovi. Inicijativa za razvoj bežične tehnologije pokrenuta je od strane znanstvenika u Ericsson-u u Švedskoj. Bluetooth ima široku uporabu, a ponajviše kod manjih prijenosnih uređaja. Razlozi široke primjene su kvalitetan signal kod prijenosa te velika udaljenost na kojoj je moguće ostvariti komunikaciju. Osim Bluetooth tehnologije, postoje mnoge tehnologije sa sličnom primjenom i dometom za komuniciranje.

Abstract (english)

Bluetooth technology is one of the many wireless communication technologies, and it could be said that it is a standard for wireless technology. The main advantage of these technologies is that the transmission does not require cables. Rather than using cables, Bluetooth uses radio waves for transmissions. The initiative for the development of wireless technology was initiated by scientists at Ericsson in Sweden. Bluetooth today has wide use, especially with smaller portable devices. Main reasons of wide use are high quality signal and great distance where communication can be established. Beside Bluetooth technology, there are others technologies with similar use and long range for communication.
