Abstract

Zbog stalnog razvoja društva i rasta gradova količina prometa u gradu prelazi iznose prometne potražnje za koje je planirana prometna infrastruktura. Nemogućnost stvarnovremenskog odziva fiksnog upravljanja semaforiziranim raskrižjima na povećanje prometne potražnje pridodaje nastanku zagušenja i ostalim negativnim posljedicama koje ono donosi. Jedno od mogućih rješenje koje dolazi iz područja Inteligentnih Transportnih Sustava (ITS), je promjena trajanja vremena pojedinih signalnih faza. U ovom završnom radu opisane su dvije metode promjene trajanja faze zasnovane na neizrazitoj logici. Prva metoda produljuje trajanje pojedine faze na njenom početku dok druga tijekom izvođenja faze određuje za koliko je potrebno produljiti fazu. U svrhu usporedbe kvalitete rada predloženih metoda s fiksnim upravljanjem napravljen je model dvofaznog raskrižja u VISSIM-u te povezan s MATLAB-om radi izvođenja simulacija primjenom tri različita scenarija prometne potražnje. Rezultati emisija štetnih plinova su također analizirani, koristeći programski paket EnViVer. Dobiveni simulacijski rezultati pokazuju da je primjenom neizrazite logike moguće smanjiti količinu zagušenja koje nastajte na semaforiziranim raskrižjima korištenjem fiksnog upravljanja.

Abstract (english)

Due to the constant development of society and urban growth, the amount of traffic in cities is exceeding the planned amount for which the traffic infrastructure was built. Unresponsiveness of fixed-time control over signalized intersections to the increasing traffic demand brings in to the onset of congestion and other negative consequences that come with it. One possible solution which comes from the domain of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) is extending the signal phase time. Two methods of extending phase time with the use of fuzzy logic are described in this bachelor’s thesis. The first method extends phase time at the begging of a phase and the second method extends phase time while the phase is ongoing. To compare the two methods with pretimed signal control, a two-phase intersection is modeled in VISSIM and connected with MATLAB to run the simulations constituting of three different traffic demand scenarios. Analysis of emitted harmful fumes is done using the EnViVer application. Attained simulation results show that it is possible to reduce the amount of traffic congestion which appears as a result of using the pretimed signal control on signalized intersections.
