Abstract

Mobilni pristup Internetu danas ima veliki tehnološki i komercijalni značaj kao jedno od najčešćih sredstava korištenih u komunikaciji. Njegova dostupnost prelazi okvire urbanih sredina, ali zbog velikog broja korisnika na maloj jedinici površine ima posebne specifičnosti i karakteristike koje su opisane u ovom radu. Za unapređenje i daljni napredak kvalitete usluge potrebne su nadogradnje postojeće infrastrukture i ulaganja u nove tehnologije i tehnike prijenosa kao i migracija sa IPv4 protokola na verziju IPv6 čije su najznačajnije metode opisane u radu. Jedan od ključnih elemenata za visoku razinu kvalitete usluge u ćelijskoj mreži je i prekapčanje (eng. handover) čije su različite inačice obrađene u zasebnim poglavljima.

Abstract (english)

Mobile Internet access has a great technological and commercial importance in today’s communication. Its availability goes beyond urban areas, but it has some special characteristics due to a large number of users. The key for further improvements and raising the quality of service is upgrading existing infrastructure, investing into new data transfer technologies, and migration from IPv4 protocol to IPv6, all of which are explained in this work. One of the key elements for a high quality of service level in cellular network is handover with its different forms which are described in separate chapters.
