Abstract

Daljinska istraživanja omogućila su napredna istraživanja u mnogim granama. Prednosti ovakvog načina stjecanja informacija su mnogobrojne; preciznost, količina informacija, primjenjivost u različitim područjima, cijena itd. Ovisno o zadaći i području promatranja koriste se pasivni ili aktivni senzori koji funkcioniraju na principu elektromagnetskog zračenja. Kvaliteta dobivenih snimaka često je degradirana zbog atmosferskih i okolnih uvjeta, ali i fizičkih karakteristika senzora. Digitalna obrada snimaka omogućila je poboljšanje snimki odnosno njihove kvalitetnije i detaljnije analize. U radu je detaljnije obrađena kombinacija dvije metode poboljšanja snimki; poboljšanje kontrasta i uravnoteživanje histograma. Način rada spomenutih metoda prikazan je na primjeru termalne snimke snimljene iz zraka izradom programskog koda u programskom jeziku Matlab, a dobiveni rezultati potvrđuju prednosti metode i njenu ulogu u doprinosu analizi i interpretaciji.

Abstract (english)

Remote sensing has enabled advanced research in many branches. The advantages of such a way of acquiring information are numerous; accuracy, amount of information, suitability in several fields, price, etc. Passive or active sensors are used depending on the tasks and the area of observation; they act on the principles of electromagnetic radiation. The quality of the obtained images is often degraded due to atmospheric and environmental conditions, but also the physical characteristics of the sensor. Digital image processing has led to better images, their quality has improved and this led to more detailed analysis. In this thesis, a combination of two methods of image enhancement will be described in more detail; contrast enhancement and histogram equalization. The working principle of mentioned methods is shown on the example of thermal images taken from the air by creating a program code in the Matlab programming language; obtained results confirm the advantages of the method and its role in contribution to the analysis and interpretation.
