Abstract

Ovaj rad analizira ponašanje podvorenog sustava, komutacijskog čvorišta mreže, u ovisnosti o značajkama procesa dolazaka i procesa posluživanja. U tu svrhu korišteni su Poissonovski i ne- Poissonovski podvorbeni modeli. Za zadane razdiobe međudolaznih vremena između paketa i razdiobe vremena posluživanja (koje su generirane pomoću dostupnog programskog alata) određeno je ponašanje podvorbenog sustava. Njegove mjere performansi određene su empirijski i korištenjem razvijenih modela. Prikazana je veličina pogreške pri određivanju performansi sustava posluživanja uporabom Poissonovskih podvorbenih modela ako se zanemare stvarne značajke procesa dolazaka i procesa posluživanja.

Abstract (english)

This paper analyzes the behavior of a Queueing system, of a switching node in a network, depending on the features of the arrival and serving processes. For this purpose Poisson and non-Poisson queueing models are used. For the simulated inter-arrival time distributions between packages and the service-time distributions (generated using the available software tool) the behavior of queueing system is determined. Its performance measures were determined empirically and using developed models. Error in determining the performance of a serving system using Poisson queueing models is shown if the actual features of the arrival and serving processes are neglected.
